Business and enterprise development strategies from the standpoint of economic security in crisis situations

This article employs a systematic analysis to evaluate the progression of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) within the framework of the Covid-19 pandemic, utilizing the European Union (EU) countries and Ukraine as illustrative cases. The analysis draws upon data sourced from Eurostat and the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, encompassing significant SME indicators such as the number of entities, employment figures, and turnover. The findings underscore substantial disparities in the magnitude and function of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) within the economies of the European Union (EU) and Ukraine, as well as the measures employed to bolster businesses during crisis periods.
